Lucie Courteau is Full Professor in Accounting. After undergraduate studies at Université Laval in Canada, she obtained a PhD in Commerce at the University of British Columbia (Canada) in 1992, under the supervision of Prof Gerald Feltham. She has taught at Université Laval and the University of Ottawa before joining the Free University of Bolzano in 2003. Her research interests center on the role of financial reporting in the economy and include financial reporting quality, firm valuation, IPOs and M&As. She has published articles in Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis and Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, among others.
