Research assistants (AR) | Digital tourism, platform dynamics
I was appointed to the Free University of Bolzano in September 2018 as an assistant researcher and external lecturer. Prior to coming to Italy, I finished my doctoral studies in South Korea with a research focus on digital tourism and platform home sharing dynamics. I have taught at the university level in South Korea, China and most recently Italy. Originally, I come from the United States with bachelor degrees from the University of Washington and a master’s degree from Pennsylvania State University.

I am currently working on a project to promote the visibility of sustainable tourism labels through the creation of recommendation online tool. My main research areas are connected with this task: digital platforms and database management. I am most interested in applying data science methodologies to tourism research. I believe in a revealed preferences approach to analyzing consumer behavior.
