Courses in other Languages

These courses are primarily aimed at unibz students, lecturers and employees. Employees of other research institutions in the province of Bolzano can also enroll in these courses, provided that spots are available and that an agreement exists between unibz and the relevant organization.

Non-traditional students, students in the Studium Generale program, senior student card holders and external students can only register for extensive Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Ladin, and preparatory courses for the international certification exams CELI and TestDaF.

All language courses offered by the Language Centre, except from the 3-week intensive courses, are also open to unibz alumni, who can register for extensive courses in the three main languages (Ger, It, Eng) as well as in other foreign languages by paying a € 100 flat fee per academic year.

COURSE CONTENT
Talk about family, marital status, work, nationality, studies; cardinal numerals up to 100.
Grammar
verbs in present (singular and dual forms); dual forms of nouns, adjectives, personal und possessive pronouns;  genitive contraction; nominal clause negation; negation of the present verb.

COURSE CONTENT
Beginner Chinese language course for participants with little prior knowledge. Basic elements of grammar and syntax; phonetic exercises; writing exercises with Chinese characters. New words to learn: about 100-150.

Communication goals
Asking for and giving indications; asking for and understanding prices; talking about language abilities; talking and expressing opinions about free time activities; providing information with numbers, times of day, the days of the week, and months; talking about jobs and work; participating in a telephone conversation; talking with sales clerks and cashiers; ordering at restaurants and cafés.
Grammar
The dative case and the instrumental case for singular nouns with and without prepositions; the nominative, genitive and accusative in the plural; the genitive with quantiities and amounts; the preterite form of verbs; the imperative; the verbs of motion; word order.
