Short bio

Gianluca Camillini is an Italian designer, editor, educator and scholar in the field of visual communication. 
After his MA and BA degree at ISIA Urbino (grade cum laude), he worked for several years for international agencies and clients (e.g. Armando Testa, La Biennale, FCA group). Since 2013 he works as researcher/adjunct professor in graphic design at the Faculty of Design and Art, unibz. Concurrently, he obtained a PhD in typography and design at the University of Reading, UK.
From 2018 he is the co-editor of Progetto grafico, international graphic design journal. 
He holds the National Scientific qualification as associate professor in Design within the Italian higher education system.
Camillini combines teaching with practice, encompassing both design criticism and research.
