Bachelor in

Design and Art - Major in Art

This programme is centred upon contemporary aesthetics and explores the media of photography, film and computer. Under the supervision of internationally-renowned artists, you will work in small groups and will create projects that contribute to the current debate within the arts and society.

Course description

You will work in the studios located in the faculty building: one devoted to space (for sculpture and installations); one to the visual arts (photography, videos and film), one to interaction (for performative arts/new media) and one to exhibitions (visual culture/curatorship). You will be able to experiment and create your customised study programme. You can also choose to repeat the experience of one studio twice.

The relationship between students and lecturers is very well balanced: work groups are small and supervised by three lecturers. In this programme, theory is always linked to practice. Lively and regular discussion is a guarantee for successful learning.

Ateliers and Workshops

The studios

In the studios, where both individual and team work is encouraged, you will be able to combine theory and practice effectively. It is here that projects become reality. They are very close to the offices of lecturers, and students often present their work there.

Our workshops

In the workshops you will find all the tools you need, traditional and state-of-the-art technology, to turn your projects into reality. Those who manage our workshops are skilled professionals who will help you and share their  experience with you.
