Free University of Bozen-Bolzano

The Faculty of Economics and Management is one of the best in research in Italy.

In the recent research quality evaluation (VQR 2004-2010) performed by the National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and Research (ANVUR), the faculty came 5th out of 73 in Economics and Management, 3rd out of 71 in Law and 2nd out of 59 in Political Science.

The wide variety of research areas covered by the faculty members makes multidisciplinary research one of the faculty’s strong points. From the mathematicians and specialists of financial markets to the specialists of law, political science and philosophy, all are involved in the study of society from different points of view, with research methods that go from the development of mathematical and statistical tools of analysis to the analysis of global and local issues.

The research is articulated around five research areas, two competence centres (CRELE, TOMTE) and a platform for Family Business Management.

The Faculty also publishes a working paper series, BEMPS - Bozen Economics & Management Paper Series. The series is coordinated by F. Marta L. Di Lascio and Alessandro Fedele.
